The child's safety seat has a subframe (1) consisting of a base section (2) for installing on the seat of a vehicle, and an upwards extending support section (3) lying against the seat back of the vehicle. A belt guide (6) is provided on the base section or support section, and/or in the transition region between them, and over it is guided the cross-extending lap strap (10) of the seat belt system which is fixed on at least two points of the vehicle or seat. An upwards extending pivotable lever arm (7) or yoke is installed on the base section and when pivoted back deflects and tensions the lap strap around the belt guide.
