<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a preheating combustor in a solid electrolyte fuel device system for conducting a preheating operation for preheating a fuel cell at a starting time. <P>SOLUTION: The preheating combustor (15) is installed outside the fuel cell (11). A desulfurizer (16) is provided in a fuel conveying passage (19). The solid electrolyte fuel device system includes a three-way valve (22) for selectively supplying fuel gas from the desulfurizer (16) to a main fuel supply passage (18) or an auxiliary fuel supply passage (23), a three-way valve (25) for selectively supplying air from a gas conveying passage (26) to an air pole (14) of the cell (11) or the combustor (15), and a heat exchanger (17) for heat-exchanging the supplied air with exhaust gas from the combustor (12). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
