<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily enable downsizing as well as surely form a reaction gas passage with a simple and economical structure. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell 10 has an electrolyte film/electrode structure 12 and a first and a second metallic separators 14, 16. An anode side electrode 28 and a cathode side electrode 30 composing the structure 12 is provided with gas diffusion layers 32a, 32b composed of a foam made from metallic material such as stainless steel, and passage walls 36a, 36b, 36c, 36d made from a resin for forming the reaction gas passage are installed by impregnation in the foam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
