<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the longest string-matching decision of a network address, without executing any arithmetic process in a memory. <P>SOLUTION: Output ports 3a-3n are connected to networks 7a-7n.An address bus 2aa has signal lines corresponding to bits forming a node address for uniquely identifying a connection destination node. Memories 4a-4m are connected to the same number of address bus signal lines as the number of bits of a network address. Port information indicating the output ports 3a-3n are stored in memory addresses corresponding to the network addresses. An address register 5 outputs a received node address to the address bus 2aa.
