PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp socket preventing a main body case split into two from the shift of a jointing position when jointing, keeping the main body case in good jointing state. SOLUTION: A pair of jointing parts 33, 34 are arranged to a fluorescent lamp socket 3 having a first main body 5 which is one of the main body case 7 split into two, and a second main body 6 supporting a lamp supporting part 21. According to the jointing movement of the main bodies 5, 6, by the jointing of nails 37, 43 to engaging parts 38, 44 while deflecting in the direction perpendicular to the direction of jointing movement, the jointing part 33, 34 joint the main bodies 5, 6. A pair of restriction parts 63 having a fitting structure fitting in the direction of jointing movement according to the jointing movement of the main bodies 5, 6 are installed at both sides of a straight line lying between the main bodies 5, 6.
