PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating moving speed and position of moving body by which the moving speed or moved position of a moving body can be estimated accurately without measuring the stride of the moving body which is difficult to be measured and apt to produce errors. SOLUTION: This method of estimating the moving speed of the moving body comprises steps of detecting the vibration of the moving body or the displacement amount of the moving body accompanied by movement, detecting the period and amplitude of the vibration as signals distinctively showing the moving speed of the moving body, estimating a relational expression used for estimating the moving speed from the amplitude and period found from the signals, and storing the relational expression. The moving speed of the moving body is estimated based on the stored relational expression, or the moving distance of the body is estimated from the estimated moving speed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
