PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a paper product, with which used materials from waste wood of house are utilized and which is useful for environmental conservation, and to obtain the paper product. SOLUTION: The method for producing the paper product 101 comprises a pulping process for using only wood chips 201 obtained from the used materials selected from the waste wood of house without using wood chips obtained from wood of plant trees and collecting pulp and a papermaking process for using the pulp and producing the paper product 101. The wood chips 201 obtained from the used materials are obtained by removing the used materials unusable as a raw material for paper, removing the portion unusable as the raw material for paper from the old materials, removing impurities such as nails, metal fittings, coating, etc., from the used materials and chipping the obtained used materials.
