PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the lateral length of a footrest board of a footrest depending on the width of a wheelchair. SOLUTION: This footrest, which is to be mounted on the front lower part of the wheelchair, is composed of the paired right and left footrest boards 2A which can be flipped upward by having a base end part pivotally mounted on the wheelchair; the footrest board 2A is split into a plurality of pieces; split parts 21 and 22 are mutually connected in a laterally slidable manner, so that the length of the the footrest board 2A can be increased/decreased. Thus, the footrest can be mounted on the wheelchairs with various width dimensions, and an interval between the paired footrest boards 2A can be adjusted by adjusting the lateral length of the footrest board 2A, even if the lateral width of the wheelchair is changed.
