PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management apparatus and a data management system in which data distributively stored in a plurality of electronic equipment are easily managed. SOLUTION: A server 10 is provided with: an I/O part 12 for acquiring terminal characteristic information I100 indicating contents associated with data processing in client terminals A, B and C from the client terminals A, B and C; a terminal characteristic information processing part 15 for determining the way of assigning server resources based upon the terminal characteristic information I100 acquired by the I/O part 12; a control part 11 and a recorder part 14 for exchanging data with the client terminals A, B and C and processing the data based upon the way of handling determined by the terminal characteristic information processing part 15.
