PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor capable of improving transmission efficiency. SOLUTION: In the packet discrimination circuit of a USB device 12, a PID decoder 22 discriminates the type of a received packet on the basis of the data pattern of a PID, and then, a packet length measuring circuit 23 determines whether the discrimination result is correct by measuring the packet length of the received packet. Thus, the packet is correctly discriminated even when the data value of a signal transmitted on a USB bus 13 is changed by the influence of reflection, noise, etc., in the USB bus 13.
