PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and apparatus for an electro-optical apparatus, and a manufacturing method and apparatus for an electronic apparatus, wherein the mounting of a plurality of components are performed with a single manufacturing apparatus having a single head. SOLUTION: A liquid-crystal display is manufactured by using a single head 10 for holding thereon a plurality of IC chips AL, BS, having different dimensions from each other and by arranging and successively mounting them on a liquid-crystal panel 11 with their mutual clearances 13 not larger than the critical space in between. In this case, the IC chips BS, having a thickness smaller than that of the IC chip AL, are arranged in front of the IC chip AL. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
