PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mud removal device for an earth auger following a steady brace mechanism and the vertical movement caused by rotation of an auger screw, efficiently scraping off the soil from the screw, and facilitating the handling such as maintenance. SOLUTION: This mud removal device for the earth auger scrapes off the soil stuck to the auger screw 3 by an elastic rod body 2 attached to a steady brace cylindrical body 1 of the auger screw 3. The steady brace cylindrical body 1 comprises a fixed cylindrical part 1a formed with a cylindrical wall into an integral cylindrical shape and a movable cylindrical part 1b openably/closably formed with the cylindrical wall. The movable cylindrical part 1b is attached with the elastic rod body 2 bundled and formed into a bundle projecting to the inside of the steady brace cylindrical body 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
