PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn thread containing an ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene filament, of low elongation and adjustable in a specific gravity or excellent in abrasion resistance, to provide a fishline, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This yarn thread is composed of at least the ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene filament, wherein the yarn thread has an elongation of≤5%, and further has (a) a specific gravity of 1.01-10.0 or (b) a strength of≥14.0 g/d which is measured after abraded 1000 times in an abrasion test.
