PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of suppressing the mutual interference of a plurality of receiving coils even if the distance between the coils or the shape of the coils are changed to obtain an image of good quality. SOLUTION: The application of voltage across both terminals of a variable capacity diode VC is stopped. One of the receiving coils 14a and 14b is set to a non-resonance state and the other one of them is set to a resonance state. The receiving signal value of the coil 14b is measured to be stored in a memory means. A Bias 4 and a Bias 3 are set to an energized state and the coil 14a is set to the resonance state to obtain a magnetic resonance signal. The supply voltage values from a variable power supply voltage Bias 1 are made variable to change the capacity of the diode VC and the intensity of the magnetic risonance signal is measured to judge whether a signal becoming maximum is present. When the magnetic resonance signal becoming maximum is obtained, the supply voltage value from the variable power supply voltage Bias 1 at that time is set.
