<p>The control damper relates to a control valve which is primarily intended for controlling air flow, although the valve may also be used to control other flowing media. The valve comprises a sleeve (2) of flexible material, the cross-section of which largely corresponds to the duct (1, 22) in which the flow occurs, one end of the sleeve being fixed in relation to the duct and the other end thereof being rotatable with displacement in an axial direction that is controlled in proportion to the rotation. When turned, the sleeve (2) assumes a cross-section in the form of a multi-pointed star (13). The valve is surrounded by sound insulation material (23) and the pipe (22) that surrounds the sleeve is air-permeable.</p> |
