X-ray detector (1) has an X-ray converter (2) for conversion of X-radiation into light or an electric charge and a image recorder (3) for spatially resolved measurement of the converted electric charge or light. Behind the X-ray converter in the direction of the incident radiation is a dosimeter device (4). An Independent claim is made for a method for recording radiographs in which a dosimeter integrated in the X-ray detector is used to measure the received dose so that the dose during imaging can be automatically regulated.
