PURPOSE: An electro-mechanical brake system with a warning apparatus is provided to prevent accidents by warning wrong operation of sensors with checking failure of a brake pedal stroke sensor, a brake lamp switch or an actuator brake force sensor continuously. CONSTITUTION: An electro-mechanical brake system includes a brake pedal stroke sensor(11), a brake lamp switch(12), an actuator brake force sensor(15), an electro-mechanical brake control unit(13), an actuator and a warning lamp(16). The electro-mechanical brake control unit warns the emergency state by receiving signals from sensors and the switch at failure of the electro-mechanical brake system from wrong operation of the brake pedal stroke sensor, the brake lamp switch or the actuator brake force sensor, and the warning lamp displays the emergency state of the vehicle by receiving the driving signal from the electro-mechanical brake control unit. The warning lamp is placed in an instrument panel or a main switch of the electro-mechanical brake system.
