PURPOSE: A simulator for an idle speed actuator is provided to improve reliability and performance of a vehicle by carrying out various simulation tests. CONSTITUTION: A simulator includes an air filter(11) removing impurities from intake air, flowmeters(12) for measuring an amount of air flowing through an idle speed actuator(10), and a pressure adjustment unit for automatically adjusting pressure applied to both ends of the idle speed actuator(10). A vacuum pump(13) is provided to be a substitute for an engine. A PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal transferred to the idle speed actuator(10) from an engine ECU(Engine Control Unit) is controlled by a pulse generator(14). Open valves(15) are positioned parallel to the flowmeters(12), and opened selectively according to a selected flowmeter. The vacuum pump(13) generates airflow so that pressure difference is created at each end of the idle speed actuator(10).
