<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein related to phylaxis and treatment of parasites, a DNA encoding the same and a method for using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The DNA encodes an inorganic pyrophosphatase of the parasites (a) or (b).
