<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorder in which operational reliability as a writing unit is enhanced by selecting the recording operation and the data writing operation into an element incorporated in a recording medium at a speed substantially equal to the recording speed of the recorder and recovering a data miss writing occurring accidentally. <P>SOLUTION: The recorder incorporates a plurality of writing means or an antenna, and comprises a means for feeding a recording medium, a means for recording an image on the recording medium, and a plurality of means for writing data in elements incorporated in the recording medium. The recorder further comprises a means for reading out data written by the data writing means, and a means for comparing the data written by the data writing means with the data read out by means of the reading means.
