<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide laser treatment equipment capable of properly cooling the affected part at the time of laser irradiation while suppressing the dewing or freezing on the surface of a window. <P>SOLUTION: The laser treatment equipment, which irradiates the skin with a laser beam from a laser beam source for medical treatment, is equipped with a handpiece having an irradiation optical system for irradiating an expected position with a laser beam, the window, which is provided to the handpiece and has optical characteristics for permitting the laser beam and visible light to transmit and having the contact surface with the skin, a cooling means for cooling the window, a pressure sensor for detecting the contact pressure of the window with the skin of a patient and a cooling capacity altering means for stepwise or continuously changing the cooling capacity of the cooling means corresponding to the pressure detected by the pressure sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
