PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for efficiently treating waste plastics of high water contents stuck with water-absorbing matters including soil and sand.

SOLUTION: The waste plastics treatment apparatus has the following scheme. At least one position at a midway portion of a preliminarily heating unit B is provided with a slit part 42 equipped with a plurality of slits 41 formed at an area lying circumferentially apart from the center O of the unit B and making the inside communicate with the outside, and the water contained in the waste plastics is discharged as water vapor via the slits 41.
