PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw spatial information in which the longitude and the latitude are known on a digital map. SOLUTION: The map regions 51 and 53 of the digital map are made with respectively deformed scales, and are not furnished with the information of the longitude and the latitude. The digital maps are useful for as pictorial maps or destination maps in a way different from that of a precisely scaled map. A triangle web composed of triangles 59 connecting a plurality of base points of which the longitudes and the latitudes are known are set on the map, the longitude and the latitude information is given on the electronic map. The longitudes and the latitudes of the spatial information are transformed into drawing coordinates by using the triangle web, and the position to be drawn on the digital map is decided.
