PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for detecting an extremely correct inclination in a motorcycle during going round a bend. SOLUTION: In this method for detecting inclination in the motorcycle, a signal is transmitted by at least two light sources (C, D) mounted on a vehicle, and transverse inclination (α) to road surfaces (101, 102) of the motorcycle is determined by the evaluation of a road surface reflection signal returned to at least two optic receivers (C, D) mounted on the vehicle. The device for detecting inclination in the motorcycle includes at least two light sources (C, D) mounted on the vehicle and for transmitting the signal, at least two optic receivers (C, D) mounted on the vehicle and for receiving the road surface reflection signal returned from the road surface, and a determination device for determining the transverse inclination (α) to the road surfaces (101, 102) of the motorcycle by the evaluation of the received signal.
