PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access method which allows a peripheral LSI 33 and a CPU 27 to access without keeping track of the other's memory space when these two items have different memory spaces. SOLUTION: In a semiconductor integrated circuit device, a flexible BSC (FBSC) 22 translates addresses based on information corresponding to addresses of both memory spaces, resulting in the wider selection of CPU types, reuse of existing programs, and easy development of new programs. Moreover, by mounting various kinds of function modules, the semiconductor integrated circuit device can be used in compliance with a variety of systems without giving responsibilities for design to a general-purpose peripheral LSI.
