PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a mosaic tile mural faithfully reproduced after an original figure in a short time. SOLUTION: In the method for creating a mosaic tile mural, first a large-size tile 1 is broken to form a plurality of tile fragments 1a(step ST1), then an image receiving face for an aqueous ink is formed by arranging the tile fragments 1a into an arrangement when the tile 1 is broken into the fragments 1a (step ST2) and the original figure 5 of the mural is printed on the image receiving face using an ink jet printer 45 (step ST3). After that, the printed face is protected by a surface protection layer (step ST4) and thus a plurality of mosaic tiles 1b are manufactured. Finally the mosaic tile mural 8 is created by applying these mosaic tiles 1b on the wall surface 7 in the way that these mosaic tiles 1b are laid during printing (step ST5). Consequently, it is possible to simply create the mosaic tile mural 8 faithfully reproduced based on the original figure 5 in a short time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
