COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND XDSL SIGNAL DISTRIBUTION APPARATUS TO BE USED FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system equipped with an ADSL signal distribution apparatus in which digital data are transmitted and received even when a distance between a telephone station and a user's house is≥5Km. SOLUTION: Data are transmitted from a repeater 12 provided in a telephone station 11 to terminal equipment 17 in the user's house by a telephone cable 13'. The ADSL signal distribution apparatus 16 incorporating a modem is mounted on a telegraph pole 15 where the telephone cable 13' is laid. The repeater 12 and the ADSL signal distribution apparatus 16 are connected by an optical cable 14' to transmit and receive data. The ADSL signal distribution apparatus 16 and the terminal equipment 17 are connected with second branch telephone cables 13b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
