PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial aligner of a floating type disk inserter by which the axial alignment of a recessed part of a disk clamp and a shaft is exactly performed. SOLUTION: The device inserts a disk 2 onto the shaft 6 by relatively moving the disk clamp 21 of clamping the disk 1 in the state of not projecting the inner peripheral edge of a shaft hole 2a of the disk 2 into an internal diameter of the recessed part 44 for axial alignment of an end surface and the shaft 6 disposed opposite to the recessed part 44 and inserted into the shaft hole 2a of the disk 2 in a floating state by jetting pressurized fluid to the end surface side from the recessed part 44 thereby performing axial alignment of the recessed part 44 and the shaft 6. The inner peripheral surface end of the recessed part 44 is provided with a step 43 for acting the inner peripheral surface of the recessed part 44 and the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 6 in directions where these surfaces are parted from each other.
