PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens of a rear focus system which permits simple adjustment of a flange back with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The zoom lens having a first lens group for at least variable power, a diaphragm for adjusting a light quantity nearer an imaging surface side than the first lens group, and a second lens group for focusing is constituted to have a means for correcting the second lens group at a wide angle end in accordance with the storage information judged from a focusing position at a telephoto end relating to the dormant subject existing at an arbitrary distance focusable in the entire area of zooming in the flange back adjustment for the purpose of determining the reference position of the second lens group, for determining the same as the reference position and for storing the position.
