PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative-resistance measurement instrument which can simply measure the negative resistance of a negative-resistance circuit of an oscillator at a low cost, in matching with the actual oscillation conditions. SOLUTION: There are provided a series circuit, consisting of an inductance element L1 connected to the negative resistance circuit 12, a capacitive element C1, and a resistor element R1; a current detecting means 4 for detecting the current flowing in the series circuit; a voltage detecting means 7 for detecting the voltage of a connection point between the negative resistance circuit 12 and the series circuit; and a negative resistance calculating means 8 for calculating a negative-resistance value of the negative-resistance circuit from outputs of the voltage detecting means 4 and the current detecting means 7, continuously by each fine period of time, since the negative-resistance circuit is powered on, until the outputs of the current detecting means 4 and the voltage detecting means 7 are stabilized.
