PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation sheet for insulating sound leaked through a gap between an opening formed in a partition like a partition member and piping penetrating the partition, which excels in workability at a building site, safety to workers, and sound insulation performance. SOLUTION: The sound insulation sheet has a shape similar to a cross sectional shape of the piping, and comprises a base material including a vinyl chloride resin blended with an inorganic filler or a metal powder. A plurality of cuts are made in the sheet from its center so that the piping may penetrate the sheet in a manner that each end of the cuts is located on a line of an expanded figure similar to the cross sectional shape of the piping but does not reach the outer periphery of the sheet, and that a fold line is made at least on a line connecting the ends of the cuts. A layer of an adhesive is formed on at least a part between the line connecting the ends of the cuts and the outer periphery of a surface of the sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
