PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus which is advantageous for environmental protection and resource saving since only a filter element can be exchanged and a core and the like can be reused as they are without being scrapped and in which a filter medium can be prevented from being deformed or broken when used. SOLUTION: This filter apparatus is provided with: filter elements 1a, 1b each of which is obtained by fitting end plates 3, 4 to both end faces of a cylindrical filter medium 2; an inner cylinder 10 which can be attached/detached to/from the inside of the media 2 of the elements 1a, 1b and which serves as the core; and end face plates 14, 15 which are coupled to the respective plates 3, 4 through screw-using fastening/coupling means so that the elements 1a, 1b can be moved in the axial direction and the plates 14, 15 can be decoupled from the respective plates 3, 4 and which control by these couplings the movement of the media 2 in the axial direction while abutting on the cylinder 10.
