PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator motor cooling the commutator effectively. SOLUTION: A frame 17 comprises a frame body 21 having an end wall 21a for closing one end of the peripheral wall, and a frame end panel 22 connected to the other end part of the peripheral wall. A stator 18 and an armature 19 to be disposed inside the stator 18 are respectively mounted inside the frame 17. A pair of brush devices having a brush which is pushed to the commutator 36 of the armature is mounted. A fan 41 is mounted on the end part of a rotating shaft 31 of the armature, extruded outside of the frame 17. An air outlet 23 which is opened at the periphery of the frame body 21, for exhausting air flow A discharged from the fan through the frame 17 to the outside the frame is provided on only one side of a virtual border line drawn between the both blush devices and the rotating shaft 31.
