Device and apparatus (11) for feeding an expanding agent into a machine (1) for the extrusion of polymeric material. By varying the difference between the pressure of an expanding agent in a line (13) for the feeding of the same expanding agent and the pressure at a discharge nozzle (10) of the machine for extrusion it is possible to vary the density of the extruded polymer in a desired manner.
