<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply mechanism for an information transmission connector capable of supplying electric power exceeding the allowable value of USB bus power in low cost and easily, and the information transmission connector. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply mechanism is provided with a capacitor, a current limiting resistor to limit the current for charging the capacitor, a charging gate to release the charging current limit after reaching a constant charging voltage, a power transmission gate to transmit electric power to a information device by the completion of charging the capacitor, a charging voltage detector to turn the charging gate on, and a power transmission voltage detector to turn the power transmission gate on; and is constituted to charge the capacitor by charging through the current limiting resistor, then charging by turn on the charging gate after charging with the constant voltage, and by turning on the power transmission gate by the completion of charging of the capacitor to supply the electric power to the information device.
