<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module and an optical termination box that can securely protect a connector-connected optical fiber and improve the operation efficiency of connector connection of the optical fiber. <P>SOLUTION: The optical module 3 has a base member 8 which is fitted to a housing 2. This base member 8 has two guide rods 9, on which a module body 11 is supported in a movable state. The module body 11 has a plurality of connector adapter parts 19, and an optical cord 7 is connected to the front-side connection part of the connector adapter parts 19. On the module body 11, a movable protection member 23 for protecting the optical cord 7 connected to the front-side connection part of the connector adapter parts 19 is rotatably fixed via a hinge 24.
