PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire capable of decreasing occurrence of defects in manufacture of a bead part in manufacturing the tire by setting a structure around the bead so as to satisfy specific conditions in the pneumatic tire for a passenger car. SOLUTION: The method is applied for manufacturing the pneumatic tire having a bead core 1 provided to a pair of left and right bead parts and at least one piece of a carcass ply moored to the bead part by being folded from inside to outside to the bead core 1. When a product tire is obtained by vulcanizing a molded green tire, a volume Vg in the green tire and a volume Vs in a product tire of a carcass ply cord 2 and a rubber component inside a radial direction of the tire from a center of the bead core are set so that a bead core inside volume factor specified by a ratio of the volumes Vs/Vg falls within a range of 0.8-1.1.
