SMOKEPROOF AND FLAMEPROOF APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smokeproof and flameproof apparatus made revolvable smoothly and capable of sufficiently cutting off smoke and a flame. SOLUTION: A smokeproof and flangeproof plate housing 2 is attached to the lower part of one surface of a fireproof door 1. A smokeproof and flameproof plate 3 comprises two-opposed side plates 3a and a bottom plate 3b for connecting these side plates 3a and the longitudinal length of each of the side plates 3a and the bottom plate 3b is set so as to become also same to the width of the fireproof door 1, that is, the width of a passage to be shielded. When a fire occurs and the fireproof door 1 is rotated to come to a position for shielding the passage, a metal frame body 7 is provided on the floor surface of the passage just under the bottom plate 3b of the smokeproof and flameproof plate 3 and a magnet 8 is arranged in the frame of the metal frame body 7. The bottom plate 3b of the smokeproof and flameproof plate 3 falls by the attraction of the magnet 8 to shield the gap formed between the fireproof door 1 and the floor surface 6 of the passage.
