<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly unify a plurality of devices, packaged software, and the like, different in data format, access method, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: This unified system 1 is constructed so as to have; a device agent 12 capable of transmitting an input/output data structure, a protocol, and an access means, on an input/output apparatus 10, as a self-explanatory XML document; an EJB program 32 described by using an object-oriented language and having functions of receiving input data from the apparatus 10 based on the data structure, etc., performing prescribed processing in regard to the input data, and outputting the result of the processing; and middle software systems 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28 for interpreting the XML document from the apparatus 10, transmitting information such as input/output data structure obtained by the interpretation and the input data from the apparatus 10 to the program 32, and transmitting the result of processing from the program 32 to the apparatus 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
