PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window molding for an automobile having excellent appearance, with less generation of burr or the like, capable of securely connecting molding members by welding, achieving large junction strength, and preventing generation of defectives due to peeling of junction surfaces even when a junction angle is acute, and a method for manufacturing capable of efficiently manufacturing it in a simple process. SOLUTION: Molding members 3a and 3b are cut in such a way that protruded parts 12a and 12b are protruded from expected surface-symmetric junction surfaces to be weld parts 4, and they are set on movable dies 21a and 21b of a weld die 20. Mutually facing cut surfaces 4a and 4b are heated and fused by a heat plate 11, and the movable dies 21a and 21b are advanced. When the cut surfaces 4a and 4b are pressed to each other to be welded, resin of the protruded parts 12a and 12b that are fused is filled in a rib forming space for integrally forming a rib 10 for manufacturing this window molding 1.
