PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact hinge device of a small space between a rotary shaft and a cover member and of a small radius of rotation of the rotary shaft, and also to provide an opening/closing communication terminal having the hinge device. SOLUTION: The hinge device comprises a turnable hollow first rotary shaft 125, a second rotary shaft 126 turnably intersected with the first rotary shaft 125, a guide shaft 128 provided in the first rotary shaft 125 to guide a cam 132 fitted to the second rotary shaft 126 at a predetermined position, a first casing member integrally fitted to the first rotary shaft 125, a second casing member integrally fitted to the first rotary shaft, and a front cover 141 and a rear cover 142 to cover the first rotary shaft 125 and the second rotary shaft 126.
