METHOD, SERVER COMPUTER, SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM FOR SUPPORTING COLORED MATERIAL SELECTION AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily search and select a colored material having a color desired to be obtained or desired to be selected by a user from among colored materials available from various providers. SOLUTION: Color identification marks for identifying/specifying colors are set up and color sample books 2 printed with actual color samples corresponding to the identification marks are distributed among users. A colored material database, in which colored materials sorted by the kind of material and information on providers are registered in association with the identification marks, is stored/housed in a storage part 51 of a server computer 5 to which a user computer 3 can be connected via a network 1. A web site for retrieval is provided by the server computer. A color is ascertained using the color sample book, and retrieved information mainly on the identification marks is received from the user computer. Information on colored materials extracted by using various retrieval methods based on the identification marks and provider information are sent out to the user computer and displayed.
