PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide broadcast distribution system and method capable of securing data distribution efficiency at a fixed level. SOLUTION: A talker 1 distributes data to a plurality of listeners 2. Each listener 2 detects data including errors or untransmitted data by analyzing received data by a data resending request part 3 and feeds back the resending of detected data to a data resending control part 6 in the talker 1. The talker 1 resends the data on the basis of the fed-back resending request. Thus a line state is monitored by a line monitoring part 4 included in each listener 2 and fed back to a listener line state totalization part 5 included in the talker 1. Since the line states of respective listeners 2 can be always grasped in almost real time and "troubled listeners" are excluded from targets of data distribution, the quality of distribution can be maintained.
