PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collimator lens holder for easily matching the optical axes of a pair of collimator lenses with each other and a mounting method for the collimator lens. SOLUTION: This collimator lens holder holds a pair of the collimator lenses 6a and 6b roughly in a columnar shape at a prescribed interval. In holding parts 2a and 2b holding the collimator lenses 6a and 6b, holding grooves 4a and 4b along the center axis direction of the collimator lenses 6a and 6b are formed. The side walls of the collimator lenses 6a and 6b are abutted to the inner walls of the holding grooves 4a and 4b on two lines roughly parallel to the center axis direction of the collimator lenses 6a and 6b, position relation in the radial direction of the collimator lenses 6a and 6b is controlled, and the optical axes of both collimator lenses 6a and 6b are matched with each other.
