A rear surface protective sheet for a solar cell module exhibiting excellent strength, having excellent characteristics, e.g. weatherability, heat resistance, water resistance, light fastness, wind pressure resistance, hailstone resistance, chemical resistance, moisture proofing properties, antifouling properties, light reflectivity, light diffusibility, design properties, and the like, exhibiting extremely excellent so-called moisture proofing properties for preventing intrusion of moisture, oxygen, and the like, and durability against aging deterioration, especially hydrolytic deterioration, and also exhibiting excellent protective power, in which inventory control is facilitated by selectively using the front and rear surfaces depending on the use while exhibiting excellent cost performance, and a solar cell module using it. The rear surface protective sheet for solar cell module comprises a transparent or translucent heat resistant polyolefin resin layer formed on the opposite sides of a deposition body where a deposition film of an inorganic oxide is formed on at least one side of a basic material.
