PURPOSE: A functional cast bandage is provided to promote blood circulation around an affected part and to get rid of itching of the affected part, whereby contact dermatitis caused by sweat is prevented. CONSTITUTION: The functional cast bandage is prepared by mixing 100 wt% of a hardener such as, polyurethane resin or plaster, with 3-15 wt% of bioceramic powder for emitting far-infrared rays and for generating anions. For one example, the bioceramic powder is composed of 60 wt% of blue elvan, 10 wt% of zirconia, 20 wt% of aluminosilicate, and 10 wt% of cordierite, and then 5-10 wt% of the bioceramic powder is mixed with 100 wt% of the hardener. For another example, the bioceramic powder is composed of 30 wt% of blue elvan, 30 wt% of glauconite, 20 wt% of germanium containing yellow earth, 10 wt% of tourmalin, and 10 wt% of mica, and then 2-5 wt% of the bioceramic powder is mixed with 100 wt% of the hardener.
