PURPOSE: A coke dry quenching method is provided to increase recovery ratio of lump coke and increase amount of steam generated by quenching red-hot coke into cold coke using circulation gas. CONSTITUTION: In a coke dry quenching method for quenching red-hot coke into cold coke in chamber, the coke dry quenching method comprises the steps of injecting waste oil onto the red-hot coke inside the chamber to a flow rate of 500 cc/min or less from an upper side; supplying air into the chamber and supplying circulation gas into the chamber from a lower side; and having the circulation gas recover sensible heat of the red-hot coke so that the red-hot coke is discharged as cold coke, wherein 10,000 to 15,000 Nm¬3/hr of the air is supplied into the chamber, and wherein the waste oil has a viscosity of 1 to 20 centipoises.
