PURPOSE: A rotary table apparatus is provided to minimize noise from friction contact and to control the position of a table plate precisely by preventing backlash between a wheel gear and a bevel gear with transmitting torque of a driving motor from friction contact between the table plate and the friction wheel. CONSTITUTION: A rotation driving unit of a rotary table apparatus comprises a friction wheel(141) rotated and installed to a base plate by a wheel frame, and contacted to the outer periphery of a table plate; a driving motor(149) fixed to the wheel frame to generate driving torque by mounting a driven bevel gear in the lower part of a rotating shaft of the friction wheel and mounting a driving bevel gear engaged with the driven bevel gear in the end of the rotating shaft; a pressure cylinder(161) installed to the base plate by a hinge bracket; and a hinge lever(165) installed to the base plate by a hinge shaft and the operating rod of the pressure cylinder, integrally connected to the wheel frame and turned around the hinge shaft to transmit operational force of the pressure cylinder to the wheel frame.
