<p>A primary technical goal is to improve the durability and the seal performance of a cup gasket (10) for a mechanical seal device (1) which retains a seal ring (2). The mechanical seal device includes a cup gasket (10) made of a resilient rubber material between a mounting surface of the seal ring (2) and a step shoulder installation surface (50A) in which the cup gasket retains a support plate (13) in an integral manner and a support face (13A) of the support plate facing opposite relative to and substantially parallel with the mounting surface of the seal ring. <IMAGE></p> |
