<p>The present invention relates to a cutter holder comprising: a coupling shaft (10) fastened to the cutter holder rack of a cutting metal-working machine, said coupling shaft (10) comprising an axially extending center through hole (13), a neck (14), and a plurality of slots (15) radially extending through said neck (14; a driving shaft (20) inserted into the axially extending center through hole (13) of said coupling shaft (10), said driving shaft comprising a plurality of toothed rails (21) equiangularly spaced around the periphery thereof and respectively engaged into the slots (15) of said coupling shaft (10); a driving nut (30) formed of two symmetrical halves (31, 32) abutted against each other around said neck (14) of said coupling shaft (10) and meshed with the toothed rails (21) of said driving shaft (20) for enabling said driving shaft (20) to be moved axially in said coupling shaft (10) upon rotary motion of said driving nut (30); a retainer ring (50) mounted on said neck (14) of said coupling shaft (10) and disposed in contact with said driving nut (30) on one side, said retainer ring (50) comprising a plurality of spring leaves (52) radially arranged around the periphery thereof; a driving ring (60) mounted around said coupling shaft (10) and press-fitted onto the periphery of said driving nut (30); and a chuck fastened to one end of said coupling shaft (10) and adapted to hold down a cutting tool (92).</p> |
